I’ve been working downtown for the past week at The Vancouver Island School of Art. I teach drawing there during the fall and winter semesters. The director of the school, Wendy Welch, has generously offered the space for me to work in for the next couple of weeks. How thrilling it was to lay out the pages of my new book, end to end, and draw. I’ve been working in a very small space the last couple of years. A couple of days ago I laid out twelve, 22″ x 30″, sheets of Stonehenge aqua paper and made some paintings. Orange, pink, yellow, blue, black. It was glorious fun.
